"It's more fun sa pamayanan" Vigan City is one of the most preserved heritage destinations in the Philippines. It reflects the country’s Spanish colonial past through its architecture, culture, and way of life. Walking through its streets gives you a sense of history and tradition that remains alive today.  Calle Crisologo at night. The street glows with warm lights that highlight its cobblestone road and old Spanish houses. Horse-drawn carriages move slowly as tourists stroll and take photos. The mix of history and modern life makes the area calm and beautiful. St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral, a key landmark in Vigan. Reflection

I learned many new lessons during the second quarter. I understood my subjects better and improved the way I study. I learned how to manage my time and focus on what is important. I also discovered that hard work and patience bring good results. I faced many challenges such as managing school tasks and dealing with pressure. There were times when lessons felt hard to understand. I also struggled with meeting deadlines and balancing school with rest. These moments tested my patience and discipline. I started planning my tasks and studying earlier. I asked for help from teachers and classmates when lessons were difficult. I learned to take short breaks to rest my mind. I stayed focused on my goals and reminded myself to keep going even when things felt hard. I will keep improving my study habits and stay organized. I will use what I learned to do better next quarter. I will manage my time wisely and stay positive even when challenges come. I will continue to do my best in everyth...

My teacher, my hero

Image
Every October, we celebrate Teacher's Month to honor and appreciate our teachers who work hard every day to guide and nspire us. The theme for 2025, "My Teacher, My Hero," reminds us that teachers are like real-life heroes. They help us not only learn lessons from books but also lessons in life that help us grow as good people.  Teachers are one of the biggest reasons why students can reach their dreams. They spend time and effort teaching us, preparing lessons, and checking our work even when they are tired. Their patience, dedication, and care show how much they value our future. Because of them, we gain the knowledge and confidence we need to face challenges in life. To show my gratitude and respect, I make sure to listen carefully in class and do my best in my studies. I also say "thank you" and give simple gifts or letters to express my appreciation. These small actions mean a lot and can make our teachers feel happy and proud. It's important to let th...

2025 National Science Month Celebration

It reminds us how critical science and technology will be in shaping our future. Lucena North I Elementary School's learners were involved in activities like poster-making, quiz bees, project display, and environmental awareness programs. These were a showcase of student creativity and knowledge beyond supporting the early development of innovation and responsibilities towards environmental use.  In the next twenty years of being scientists, science, and society will sustain their relationship. Continuous inventions in artificial intelligence, renewable energy, biotechnology, and exploration into outer space demonstrate sustained influence of science on political, social, economic, and the technical aspects of our daily life. Not only that but also social responsibility for society to adequately or appropriately engage with the innovation. To use new created technologies to improve the quality of life for humankind in a way symbiotic with preserving the planet.  This Sci...

Climate change is a big problem in the Philippines. Even if our country only contributes a small amount to global pollution, we are one of the most affected by climate risks. Strong typhoons, floods, and rising sea levels cause sudden and slow changes that destroy houses, farms, and fishing areas. These make life harder for many Filipinos, especially the poor. The main reason for these changes is global warming, which makes natural disasters stronger. Typhoons today are more powerful, floods happen more often, and droughts last longer. Farmers and fisherfolk are among the most affected because they depend on nature for their income. Women and the urban poor also suffer more, with many of them forced to move or leave their homes because of disasters. Another problem is that many communities are not ready for these changes. Some people plan their migration as an adjustment, but most are forced to leave suddenly after disasters. This causes stress, insecurity, and more poverty. It shows t...

INTRAMURALS My Experience in Intramurals Intramurals are school-based athletic competitions where students compete in various sports and games. As an athlete, I would say this event plays a significant role in the lives of many students. In intramurals, we don’t just play to win—we also build relationships, grow as individuals, and learn important life lessons. One of the things I value most about this event is how it allows us to break barriers and avoid bias. Sometimes in school sports, favoritism exists—some players are chosen based on popularity rather than performance. But during intramurals, everyone has the chance to prove themselves through actual competition. Participating in intramurals has been one of the most memorable and exciting parts of my academic journey. I’ve already joined three times and have had the honor of representing our school on each occasion. For me, it’s more than just a sports event—it’s a time of fun, challenge, teamwork, and personal growth.
